Big Sister Day

Julia was enrolled in a Big Sibling class at our local hospital. I was hoping this would be a good way to celebrate her big sister status. Unfortunately, the class was canceled and I couldn't find any other substitutes. Our family is swamped trying to get the house in order for Bumble's arrival, but I did sneak away for a few hours on Saturday morning to spend the day with Julia. We talked about being a big sister and did some fun activities like going to the bookstore. I also took her to the Little Sykes Railway in Sykesville to ride a train. This was a surprise and I was positive this would be a big hit. Well, she was not too impressed. I don't think it's possible to look any more bored. Despite the lack of enthusiasm for the train, we had a fun day together and I'm excited to watch Julia become a big sister.
