Julia wore the circus afro wig when we watched Madagascar 3 today. Thanks for the movie Papa & Gigi!

Fun at Baugher's

After a delicious breakfast at Baugher's restaurant, we went to Baugher's farm to pick pumpkins. Julia was on a quest to find "baby pumpkins." After a long search, we found a few pumpkins to take home with us. The petting zoo was a big hit too! Julia enjoyed feeding the goats.

Daddy's Birthday

We went to Liberatore's to celebrate Dave's birthday on Thursday. Julia snuggled with Daddy and stole cherries from Mommy's drink again;)

Happy D

Julia and I made Daddy's birthday cake (aka Happy D) for tomorrow. Julia picked the icing color and decorated the cake. We may have taste tested the icing too. I'm not quite sure there are enough sprinkles.

I made this for you

When Julia sees something beautiful or cool, she'll tell me "I made this for you." In the past, she has told me that she made me our house, the sky and a field. Once, I asked her how she was able to make it for me. Her answer was hilarious. I asked her to reenact it for the camera. Enjoy!

Sykesville Fall Festival

Julia and I went to the Sykesville Fall Festival this weekend. She fell in love with an Angry Birds hat at one of the vendor booths. I originally thought it was a penguin hat. Shows what I know! We enjoyed a pancake breakfast at the local church and then checked out the rides at the festival. She had her sights set on a fast ride. I was really hesitant to let her go on it because I thought she'd be terrified once the ride started. She begged me to let her try. I caved and she was smiling and laughing the entire time on the ride. She is quickly becoming my big girl!

MoM's Photo Day

I'm a member of a Mom's group in Carroll County. Because I work full time, I don't have too many opportunities to participate in activities. Last week, they had a late afternoon photo session at the park near Sykesville Middle School and I was able to join in the fun. The inspiration for the event was a recent article about how many moms avoid taking pictures with their children because they are dissatisfied with their own appearance. To read the article, click here. The moms decided to enjoy the nice fall weather and take pictures with their children. I would like to give a big thanks to Miss Stacie for taking such lovely pictures! The kids enjoyed playing on the playground afterwards.

Halloween Pictures

We had fun taking halloween pictures with Jenni from Forever-Yesterday Photography last weekend. Julia was an adorable Snow White and Sadie was Dopey the dwarf. Of course, I dressed up as the Evil Queen to complete the cast. We had tons of fun playing in our costumes and cannot wait for Halloween! The only part of the costume I made this year was Sadie's hat. I might try to be more ambitious next year.

Sadie is actually smiling in this picture!

Kindercare Picture Day

I would like to give a big shout out to my husband for dressing Julia for picture day. You might be surprised by how challenging it can be to dress a child even when the clothes are laid out the night before. I have picked Julia up from school without pants and in her pajamas before. So, I gave a big sigh of relief when I saw her fully clothed and accessorized in these cute school pictures taken on September 28, 2012. I tried to scan the photos, but my scanner was not cooperating today. These pictures of pictures will have to do;)

Princess Ballet

Today was "princess day" at Mommy & Me ballet class. Julia was the Swan Princess and I was her prince. She loved her feather leotard and crown and had a lot of fun dancing around the room. I had to snap a picture of my smiling beauty.

Microphone Check

I thought twice about posting the first video. I'm not proud that my first instinct was to laugh when Jules lost her balance. But, she does crack me up:) My little princess puts on concerts for us in the hallway before bath time. The step stool is her stage. Personally, I think her original song "Put your hands up" is going to be a big hit!
